LISLE, IL — There are less than two weeks of summer left until students return to the classroom. Back-to-school planning has already begun at Lisle Community Unit School District 202, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2026-2027 school year.
The first day of school is set for Aug. 13 for all District 202 students.
Here's a look at some dates to know for the upcoming school year:
Aug. 13: First day of school
Sept. 7: Labor Day; no school
Oct. 2: No school
Nov. 25-Nov. 27: Thanksgiving recess
Dec. 21 - Jan. 4: Winter Break
Jan. 5: Classes start again
Jan. 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day; no school
Feb. 15: Presidents' Day; no school
Feb. 23: Election Day; possible e-learning day
Feb. 26: County Institute Day; no school for students
March 26-April 2: Spring Break
TBA: Graduation
May 21: Last day of school (tentative)
May 24 - May 28: Emergency Days
