This Naperville High School Ranks Among Illinois' Top 25: U.S. News & World Report (patch.com) — Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville has been ranked 12th in Illinois and 295th nationwide in U.S. News & World Report's 2026-27 Best High Schools list, highlighting strong academic performance and college readiness. The rankings, based on 2023-24 data, evaluate test scores, graduation rates and success with underserved students, placing Neuqua among elite schools statewide and in the Chicago metro area.
   

2. 'Forward Together 2032' Aims To Improve Transparency, Community Engagement In District 203 (patch.com) — Naperville's District 203 is launching the Forward Together 2032 process to rebuild trust and boost transparency by involving community members, staff and students in shaping a long-term framework. Over the next year, residents can expect surveys, public discussions, design workshops and an online feedback hub leading to a finalized plan by mid-2027.
   

3. Naperville police launch full-time mental health crisis unit (chicagotribune.com) — Naperville's police department has launched a full-time Mobile Crisis Intervention Team to handle the city's roughly 1,000 annual mental health-related calls more effectively. The unit of officers, clinicians, and a specially trained K-9 now takes over many crisis scenes, allowing patrol officers to return to other duties while providing longer-term follow-up and support to residents in distress.
   

4. Influencer Trisha Paytas to visit Naperville for book event (nctv17.org) — Trisha Paytas is coming to Naperville this November for a book event hosted by Anderson's Bookshop at Pfeiffer Hall on the North Central College campus. Fans can hear her speak about her new memoir, ask questions, and go home with a pre-signed copy included with their ticket.
