Investigation Underway After Shots Fired Incident In Naperville (patch.com) — Naperville police are investigating a Friday night exchange of gunfire between two cars along the 600 block of South Route 59, where no injuries were reported. Officers quickly located the vehicles and interviewed several people believed to be involved, but no charges had been filed as of late Monday. Residents with information are urged to contact the Naperville Police Department.

Central implements evidence checks in select honors math classes, updates retake policy (centraltimes.org) — Naperville Central High School's math department is rolling out short "evidence check" quizzes in select honors and AP classes this year, while also lowering some retake eligibility thresholds from 85% to as low as 70%. Teachers hope these frequent check-ins will keep students on track, offer earlier feedback, and better reflect learning than relying on a single big test per unit.
   

3. Naperville International Festival set for Saturday in Central Park (chicagotribune.com) — Central Park will come alive Saturday with the free Naperville International Festival, expanding on the former Hispanic Heritage event to showcase music, dance, and food from cultures worldwide. Backed by city SECA funding and organized by the Naperville Sister Cities Foundation, the day will feature performances, global vendors, kids' activities, and a community service award for Naperville resident Mike Havala.
