NAPERVILLE, IL — L.L. Bean has planned treats and prizes for its Sept. 25 grand opening in Naperville's Westridge Court. The festivities will begin with two popup appearances by the brand's Bootmobile.
The Bootmobile, a 13-foot vehicle that resembles an L.L. Bean boot, will pop up at the Lombard Touch-a-Truck event on Sept. 19 and at the Naper Settlement Farmers Market on Sept. 22.
On Grand Opening Day, the Bootmobile will be just one of the ways L.L. Bean is celebrating the opening of the 16,000 square foot Westridge Court store.
The Grand Opening will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with shoppers able to start lining up as early as 6 a.m. The first 100 customers will get a free L.L. Bean Boat and Tote bag to commemorate the event.
Throughout the day, Stan's Donuts will be on hand to offer free mini donuts. Customers can visit a free Bean Boot lace customization bar and try their hand at raffles and a prize wheel. Free screen-printed grocery totes will be available while supplies last.
Shoppers can take advantage of promo deals of up to $100 off during the grand opening.
"Naperville has such a strong sense of community and an appreciation for getting outside, which makes it a great place for L.L.Bean," Barbara Noe, Retail District Manager at L.L.Bean., said in a statement.
Noe added, "As we open our doors at Westridge Court, we're
looking forward to introducing more people across the western suburbs to the quality apparel, footwear and service that have been at the heart of L.L.Bean for generations."
L.L. Bean was founded in 1912 and now has more than 75 stores in the United States. The Naperville store will be the chain's fourth opening in Illinois.
