Charity Golf Outing raises record $200,000 for Edward Foundation

With former NHL player and coach, and current Chicago Blackhawks, NBC and Versus television analyst Eddie Olczyk serving as celebrity guest, the Edward Foundation raised a record $200,000 at its 18th Annual Golf Outing on August 8 at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville.

More than 200 golfers took part in the event and contributed funds through sponsorships, donations, an auction, betting holes and the purchase of mulligans.  The winning team included Dennis Burke, Bill Petty, Jr., Bill Petty, Sr. and Dan Wilson.

The Charity Golf Outing is one of the major fundraisers of the year for the Foundation, which supports Edward Hospital’s community healthcare initiatives, including free services and health and wellness programs; centers of excellence like Edward Heart Hospital and Edward Cancer Center and programs that make Edward unique, like the Ronald McDonald Family Room.  To make a donation to or for more information about the Foundation, contact Meghan Moreno, executive director, at (630) 527-5956 or visit www.edward.org/foundation.
