Armed Carjacking In Naperville Leads To Police Chase

Police say the armed carjacking took place in the 400 block of Bailey Road.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A woman's car was stolen at gunpoint in Naperville Sunday afternoon. Police say the incident took place just before 2 p.m. in the 400 block of Bailey Road.

According to police, the woman was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The suspect stole the woman's keys and drove off with her 2018 maroon Dodge Charger.

Police later spotted the car near Naper Boulevard and Ogden Avenue and a short pursuit took place, but was ended near Midwest Road on I-88.

No one was harmed during the carjacking. A detailed description of the suspects was not available at press time.
