Lisle Boy, 13, Accused In Naperville Armed Robbery: Police
Police say the armed robbery was reported near Fredenhagen Park Sunday evening.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A 13-year-old Lisle boy was arrested Sunday after an armed robbery was reported in downtown Naperville Sunday evening. Police said the incident took place around 5:15 p.m. near Fredenhagen Park.
The boy is accused of approaching a juvenile with "what appeared to be a handgun" and demanding cash, police said in an update. Police said the boy took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot before being taken into custody a short time later.
According to police, charges against the boy are pending, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6666 and ask for the investigations division.

This is the second armed robbery reported in Naperville since late August. Two Aurora teens were recently accused of robbing two other juveniles at gunpoint in connection with an Aug. 25 incident.
Naperville police did not immediately respond to a request for more information Monday.
