NAPERVILLE, IL — An Aurora man is dead after he was involved in a fatal motorcycle crash in Naperville Saturday evening. Jaelen Morain, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash, which took place near the intersection of 91st Street and Normantown Road. A second person who was on the motorcycle sustained minor injuries in the crash, police say.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 5:45 p.m. to find both Morain and the other motorcycle rider had been thrown off the vehicle and into a nearby field. Firefighters took the other rider to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for injuries that were thought to be minor.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle, a 2005 Yamaha, was traveling at a "high rate of speed" and heading east on Hafenrichter Road when its driver lost control of the vehicle while crossing the train crash. Morain and the other rider were thrown from the motorcycle, according to police.
