Back To School: Naperville 2021-22 School Calendar

NAPERVILLE, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Downers Grove, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Naperville Community Unit School District 203 and Indian Prairie School District 204.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Naperville.

According to an update after Monday's school board meeting, District 203 students and staff will be required to wear face coverings regardless of their vaccination status at the start of the 2021-22 school year.

As of Aug. 3, District 204 recommends masks for students who are not vaccinated. The district plans to monitor coronavirus transmission rates in the community and meet Aug. 9 to discuss changes, if any.

Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day

First Day: Aug. 19

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26

Winter Break: Dec. 22-Jan. 4

Spring Break: March 28-April 1

Indian Prairie School District 204

First Day: Aug. 19

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23-26

Winter Break: Dec. 23-Jan. 7

Spring Break: March 28-April 1

Last Day: June 2
