Black Ice Possible, Salt Trucks Deployed Overnight In Naperville
Drivers are urged to use extreme caution as roads may still be slick during rush hour.

NAPERVILLE, IL — As temperatures begin to plummet and rainwater remains on many roads, Naperville officials are warning drivers to use extreme caution and to watch out for black ice. Trucks will begin salting roadways well before rush hour to help eliminate any hazardously slick patches.
In the meantime, Naperville Public Works crew members plan to continue work on streets with standing water and to close additional roads if necessary.
Commuters should expect longer travel times for Wednesday morning's commute.
