Blue Ribbon School Distinction Given To Ellsworth Elementary

NAPERVILLE, IL — Ellsworth Elementary recently earned a Blue Ribbon School distinction from the U.S. Department of Education.

The Naperville elementary school was honored in the category of Exemplary High-Performing Schools. Schools in this category are evaluated by their standardized test scores.

"The award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content," District 203 spokesperson Alexander Mayster wrote in a news release.

Other area schools that have been named Blue Ribbon Schools in recent years include Steeple Run, Highlands and Elmwood Elementary Schools. The awards will be presented during a ceremony in November.
