Bob Odenkirk To Come Back To Naperville For Book Tour On Memoir

NAPERVILLE, IL — Comedian and "Better Call Saul" star Bob Odenkirk will head back to his hometown of Naperville for a book tour promoting his new memoir, "Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama," which debuts March 1 via Random House.

After kicking off the tour in Brooklyn, Odenkirk will stop in Chicago in late February for two appearances before making his way to Naperville to discuss the book at a March 3 event hosted by Anderson's Bookshop at Community Christian Church. Tickets for the event are $40, which includes admission and a pre-signed copy of the memoir.

Odenkirk, 59, graduated from Naperville North High School and moved to Chicago in the early 1980s to pursue a career in comedy, according to Chicago Magazine. He honed his craft at Second City before getting hired to write for Saturday Night Live.

The comedian gained popularity performing sketch comedy with David Cross on "Mr. Show."

Just over a decade after filming his last Mr. Show episode, Odenkirk was cast as attorney Saul Goodman in the AMC series "Breaking Bad." The somewhat dramatic turn gained Odenkirk newfound recognition, and he was cast in the spinoff series "Better Call Saul."

In 2021, Odenkirk played the lead role in the action film "Nobody."

"Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama" is the third book from Odenkirk, who previously co-wrote "Hollywood Said No!" and penned "A Load of Hooey!" Odenkirk's upcoming memoir is likely to have nods to Naperville and Chicago therein. According to "Publisher's Weekly," Odenkirk writes that Chicago's wind is "cold enough to hurt your face and your feelings."
