Boy, 10, Hurt In Hit-And-Run Crash While Riding Bike In Naperville

Police are looking for the driver who hit a boy who was bicycling near Coach Drive and Bailey Road Thursday morning.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Police in Naperville are trying to locate the driver of a silver sedan who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that hospitalized a 10-year-old boy Thursday morning.

The boy was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Coach Drive and Bailey Road just before 8 a.m. when he was hit by the sedan, the make and model of which are unknown. Firefighters took the boy to a local hospital for "significant" injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, a news release said.

The sedan's driver was described as female, but no additional descriptive information was available as of 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
