As I've watched the Bears this season I can't help but think of them as being one big family. That is, one big, undisciplined, poorly led, dysfunctional family. Up until last night though it's been only us Bears fans that have known this and we hadn't embarrassed ourselves to the rest of the nation. We're like the dysfunctional family down the street that keep their craziness indoors and not out in the front yard for the neighborhood to see.
Well last night the dysfunctional Bears family took a trip to Disney World and had a public freak out in the line for Space Mountain for everyone in the park to see. Jay acted as the father and tried to right the ship but the kids (Omiyale, Webb, Harris, Meriweather, etc.) couldn't stop kicking and screaming and humiliating the family. It actually would have been better if they had been at Disney World and not on Monday Night Football. They would have still embarrassed themselves but they at least could have gotten a picture with Goofy!
I truly don't know what to say about that display last night. One of the tougher things I've had to do in my life as a Bears fan was keep that game on till the last whistle. The last of many, many, MANY whistles. Fourteen in all for the beloved. Just Ugly. Bears 13, Lions 24

Keys To The Game:
*To start off the keys to the ga..wait! I think we just got flagged again for false start. Unbelievable. I have seen some ugly Bear's performances in my life but I have never seen anything like that first quarter. Frank Omiyale CAN NOT play for this team anymore. Forget this season. The way he's playing, not "can" but "will" get Jay seriously hurt. He may be a great guy and all but I don't want him protecting my quarterback anymore. The Lion's Avril was beating him on every single snap. It's time for the next bum we've got to give it a go until Carimi get healthy.

*It was hard to decipher through that mess but Jay played one of his best games as a Bear last night. He was running for his life all night and continually putting the ball in place for his receivers to make a play. Jay's national perception went from soft (which he's NEVER been) to sympathetic. He's playing behind the worst line in football and still battling his butt off. I've got so much respect for that guy.
*I'm a broken record when it comes to this defense at this point. Cover 2 getting beaten over the top. Nothing from the front four. It's sad to see because this defense has been the staple of the Chicago Bears forever. They look old, which they are. Now I see why Belichick cut Meriweather. He's not just bad, he's a dirty player. If the Bears cut him today I wouldn't bat an eye.
*Jerry Angelo has to go. The O-line alone this year should get him fired but the fact that it's pretty much the same line from last year (which sucked just as bad) should get him fired twice! He's hands down the worst GM in Chicago and the Cubs don't even have one!
*The Lions didn't even play that well and won this game with ease in the second half. Stafford was missing receivers and their defense was committing stupid penalties all night. The Bears just out-badded them (it's a word, trust me).
Player Of The Game: Jay. He was awesome
Play Of The Game: It actually happened before the game when I watched the season four finale of Breaking Bad from Sunday night. The night was just downhill from there. Anyone who hasn't watched this show I can't recommend it enough. Start from the beginning and prepare for a crazy ride. It's my favorite show of all time.
This game was just awful all around. There's no throwing this game out and moving on either. It has exposed the Bears for what they, are and what they are is a very flawed team. The only
"glass half full" feeling coming from this game is that our three loses may have come from the three best teams in the NFC. A lot has to change moving forward and protecting your franchise quarterback should be priority number one. I truly hope in the near future this team will be able to hoist the trophy and collectively scream "We're going to Disney World!". If they were to go tomorrow though, someone in this family surely is going to kick and scream while making a scene on the "It's A Small World" ride. How embarrassing! 2-3 Bearssssss
