Brooks Golf Academy Training Center Open House Set for Sat., Apr. 25

Springbrook Golf Course will host a free open house event for all interested golfers at the brand-new Brooks Golf Academy Training Center from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Sat., April 25. The Training Center is located at Springbrook Golf Course, at 2220 W. 83rd St., near the Clubhouse in the former Range Room.

Guests will have the opportunity to try the equipment, request a fitness demonstration, enjoy refreshments and enter to win a package of two individual training sessions with NASM-certified trainer, Todd Russell.

“Brooks Golf Academy Training Center is one of only a few golf fitness facilities located at a golf course,” said Russell, who also serves as a PGA professional at Springbrook Golf Course. “The new training center offers golfers a one-stop shop for golf fitness, instruction and practice.”

Russell designs performance based training to enhance overall golf performance and prevent injuries. According to the National Academy of Sports Medicine, studies have shown that a progressive functional training program can improve several components of golf performance, including club-head speed.
