Buckling Concrete Causes Lane Closures On Route 59
Buckling and loose concrete was creating traffic headaches on Route 59.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Buckling concrete on Route 59 was resulting in lane closures expected to last through the night, according to the City of Naperville. Officials said the closures were affecting both north and southbound lanes between Ogden Avenue and 103rd Street.
Officials were asking drivers to use caution or find alternate routes.
A Patch reader reported seeing heat buckling, "concrete all over" and police on the scene on Route 59 all the way from 75th Street to 135th Street.

Plainfield fire officials, however, said they spoke with police and had no reports of buckled concrete in the village.
Temperatures soared well into the 90s Sunday. It was still 90 degrees as of 7:30 p.m. in Naperville.
