NAPERVILLE, IL — The autumn leaves are falling, which is beautiful, but that means there's a lot more yard debris than there was before fall started. To help homeowners, Naperville will kick off its bulk curbside leaf collection on Oct. 14.

The free leaf collection will take place in three two-week cycles through Nov. 14. During each cycle, residents must rake their leaves into the street just off the curb by 6 a.m. on the starting day of each cycle. The cycles start as follows:

  • Oct. 17
  • Oct. 31
  • Nov. 14

Leaf collection may be delayed due to inclement weather. If poor weather causes leaf collection to end early, residents can dispose of leaves via Naperville's yard waste program.

Homeowners are encouraged to rake leaves into the street before each collection cycle, regardless of the amount of leaves. Branches, twigs, rocks and other debris should not be placed in the leaf piles, and leaves should not be raked in the way of storm drains.
