Cannon Fire To Accompany 1812 Overture Performance In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — Before you head out on Fourth of July weekend to watch fireworks with friends and family, you can pay tribute to Independence Day with a live musical performance of the 1812 Overture accompanied by cannons. The annual performance by the Naperville Municipal Band is scheduled for June 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Naperville's Central Park.

During the Patriotic Concert, the Naperville Municipal Band will play Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, which traditionally includes the sounds of cannon fire. Civil War reenactors will fire the cannons as the music triumphantly swells.
