NAPERVILLE, IL — No one was injured when a car slid into a pond in Naperville Thursday morning, police say.

Officials sent an alert around 7:40 a.m. advising drivers to avoid the area near Diehl Road and County Club Boulevard. The car's occupant had gotten out of the vehicle safely before emergency responders arrived at the scene, Naperville Police Commander Michaus Williams told Patch.
