Naperville Police Investigate Carjacking, Attempted Carjacking
Police say a second attempted carjacking took place around the same time at Old Navy.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Police Department is investigating a carjacking that took place late Tuesday at the Costco located at 1320 South Route 59, according to a press release from Naperville police.
Police say a woman who was in a black Volkswagen Tiguan was told to get out of the car by two suspects. The suspects then stole the car and fled. A third suspect fled in a blue or gray car, possibly a Honda Pilot, with a third row seat, according to police.
No weapons were involved and no one was injured, according to police.

While police were responding to the carjacking, another woman came to the Napervile Police Department and said someone tried to get into her car at Old Navy, located at 220 South Route 59 at approximately 7:40 p.m. The woman told police a mid-sized silver SUV pulled up next to her and a man got out and tried to get into her car.
The woman locked her doors and drove away, police say.
