Celebrate National Toy Store Day Nov. 12 at Anderson's Toyshop

NAPERVILLE, IL — We all remember that certain toy we loved as a child and now you can relive that love with National Neighborhood Toy Store Day at Anderson’s Toyshop.

American Specialty Toy Retailing Association retailers all over the country kick off the holiday season by hosting Neighborhood Toy Store Day to celebrate their communities, the shop local message, and the joy of play. Among those stores is the new Anderson’s Toyshop in downtown Naperville, 111 W. Jefferson Ave. (The store opened in September.); Anderson’s Bookshop in Downers Grove, 5112 Main St. and Anderson’s Bookshop at 26 S. La Grange Rd. in La Grange.

Anderson’s will celebrate Neighborhood Toy Store Day on Saturday, Nov. 12 with refreshments, craft and game demonstrations, product raffle drawings (must be present to win) and more. All three locations will host special events celebrating toys and play! To reward our customers on that designated day only, a 10 percent off discount on all toys will be in effect.

Newest among them is Anderson’s Toyshop, a part of the Anderson’s Bookshop family. Many of the same toy products that Anderson’s Bookshop carried are now at Anderson’s Toyshop, but are substantially extended. Toylines include well-known favorites like Gund, Jellycat, Playmobil, Lego, International Playthings, Ravensburger and Melissa & Doug.

“Now with Anderson’s Toyshop, we have a dedicated store for toys and more,” assistant toy buyer Katie Anderson says. “We’ve brought in deeper inventory with more dress-up toys and baby-focused playthings. We are pleased to bring in new lines and have room to try some items we haven’t had space to carry. Please note that Anderson’s Bookshop members receive the same discount benefits at the new Anderson’s Toyshop location. Memberships are valid at all Anderson’s locations.

The other Anderson’s Bookshop locations also carry a wide variety of toys and playthings. All will participate in Neighborhood Toy Store Day.
