Centennial Beach Announces Its Back-to-School Hours
Beach on late-season schedule through Labor Day, Sept. 2
As students return to school, Centennial Beach will begin its late-season schedule, offering weekday afternoon swimming from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, August 15-16 and on Monday and Tuesday, August 19-20, in addition to its regular weekend hours.
The complete August-September schedule is as follows:
- August 14: Closed
- August 15-16: 4:00-7:00 p.m. – Open Swim
- August 17: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float 11:00 a.m. – Dusk – Open Swim
- August 18: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Open Swim
- August 19-20: 4:00-7:00 p.m. – Open Swim
- August 21-23 – Closed
- August 24: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float 11:00 a.m. – Dusk – Open Swim
- August 25: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Open Swim
- August 26-30 – Closed
- August 31: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float 11:00 a.m. – Dusk – Open Swim
- September 1: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Open Swim
- September 2: 9:00-10:55 a.m. – Adult Float (members only) 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Open Swim
Located in downtown Naperville, Centennial Beach features a sandy beach, zero depth entry, water features and a slide at the shallow end and piers, diving boards and deep water swimming at the deep end.

Highlights of the 2019 summer season included the addition of a new water polo team for kids ages 8-14, great summer weather in July and August, a visit by the WGN morning news team during the station’s block party in downtown Naperville on July 12, and the continuation of popular programs such as Paddle Board Yoga, the Mudrats Swim Team, and Special Needs Nights.
