Centennial Beach Reopens For Summer 2018 Season

Have you visited Centennial Beach yet?

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Memorial Day usually marks the opening of Centennial Beach and this year was no different, apart from the fact that the holiday's weather was made for a beach day. The park reopened Saturday, May 26, for the 2018 season and temperatures close to 100 degrees brought hundreds of residents to the riverwalk and Centennial Beach.

The six-acre Centennial Beach, like Harold Hall Quarry Beach in Batavia, is built in a former stone quarry. Its main feature is a pool with zero-depth entry that reaches a depth of 15 feet.

The beach also has a kid-friendly splash pad that spouts and sprays water, along with a sand area where kids can play.

Centennial Beach is a popular spot for families and friends to gather throughout pool season because picnic spots are available and guests can bring their own eats to round off a day spent in the sunshine. The park also has its own restaurant, Centennial Grill, which serves up light American fare and other quick snacks.

Centennial Beach will be open May 26 through Sept. 3. Visit the website for more information on hours and admission to Centennial Beach.
