Chesterbrook Academy Elementary and Middle School Students Raised More than $6,000 for the American Heart Association

Students participated in the Jump for Heart fundraiser to raise money for the organization

Naperville, Ill. (May 15, 2015) – On May 8, students from Chesterbrook Academy Elementary and Middle School in Naperville raised $6,228 for the American Heart Association by participating in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser, which teaches students how physical fitness helps combat heart disease. During the event, students demonstrated their jump rope skills, such as double dutch, forward straddle, and toe-to-toe. Through this experience, students learned the importance of health and helping community members.

Jump Rope for Heart is a national education and fundraising event that engages elementary and middle school students with jumping rope while empowering them to improve their own health and help other kids with heart-health issues.
