Elected Leaders Debate Opt In v. Opt Out

On March 10, 2020, Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico and Naperville City Councilman Kevin Coyne respectfully debated the pro's and con's of recreational marijuana stores coming to Naperville. The ramifications of the stores on public health, crime and public safety, and financial considerations were amongst the topics covered on the show which was produced by NCTV.
Chirico represented the Opt In side of the debate. Coyne represented the Opt Out side of the debate.
Naperville voters will have the opportunity to weigh in on the marijuana question by voting on this referendum question on March 17. Coyne is also currently a candidate for the DuPage County Board which voted to Opt Out of marijuana stores last year.
