City Council To Consider NorthGate Of Naperville Development

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville City Council will review a conditional use planned unit development and preliminary plat of subdivision for the 171-unit NorthGate of Naperville townhome community at 2255 Monarch Dr. at its Sept. 1 meeting.

The proposal also includes a zoning deviation to allow for a smaller front yard setback for some of the homes.

On July 17, Naperville's Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the proposal.

The development consists of 32 townhome buildings comprised of 171 single-family units. Forty-three townhomes will be required to meet the National Council of Independent Living's visitable standards to accommodate residents and visitors with limited mobility.

According to city documents, petitioners M/I Homes have agreed to preserve the mature trees along Ferry Road and to dedicate a lot to serve as a public park for the Naperville Park District.The park will consist of 3.24 acres, made up of a .65-acre site combined with a 2.59-acre parcel of vacant land.

The city council meeting will be held Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. at Naperville Municipal Center.
