City Of Naperville: Naperville Police Encounter Positive Trend During Child Passenger Safety Enforcement Campaign

The Naperville Police Department is pleased to announce that after almost 21 hours of patrol during last month’s Child Passenger Safety campaign, officers did not observe any child passenger restraint violations.

“One of our goals here at the Naperville Police Department is to educate motorists on the dangers of not securing children properly in vehicles,” said Naperville Police Sergeant Rick Krakow. “It appears the years of education and enforcement are paying off. I could not be happier that our officers conducted almost 21 hours of patrol, looked at thousands of vehicles, and did not observe an unsecured child.”

Officers assigned to this specific enforcement detail did issue 10 adult seat belt citations, 8 speeding citations, 2 distracted driving citations, a made 1 criminal arrest during the campaign.
