Closures Expected As Crews Begin Work Along Naperville Riverwalk
On April 14, crews will resume work on an ongoing project to stabilize the banks of the DuPage River along the Naperville Riverwalk

NAPERVILLE, IL — On April 14, crews from the Naperville Park District will begin work on an ongoing project to stabilize the banks of the Dupage River. The work may lead to closures along the riverwalk during the spring and summer months, according to an update from the City of Naperville.
The work will be concentrated on the area between Naperville Jaycee Playground and Jefferson Avenue. Workers will add native plants and stone break to stabilize to fortify the shoreline.
The project kicked off in 2024 and is expected to wrap up this summer.
