Cooking Charcoal Caused Garage Fire In Naperville: Fire Officials
Fire officials say cooking charcoal caused a blaze that damaged a garage Monday afternoon.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Cooking charcoal was to blame for a fire that damaged a garage in Naperville Monday, according to the Naperville Fire Department.
Officials were called to the 26W100 block of Bauer Road just after noon for a report of a fire in a home's detached garage. When first responders got to the scene, they found flames and smoke showing from the two-car garage.
The main fire was put out within 10 minutes. No residents or firefighters were hurt in the blaze. Officials listed the cause of the fire as charcoal that had not been disposed of properly.
