An Aurora man is in custody in connection with Monday's incident, in which police say another man fled on foot.

NAPERVILLE, IL — An Aurora man faces felony charges after Naperville police say they found an illegal gun inside a car that had been reported stolen Monday. A second man fled officers on foot after officers approached the vehicle, according to police.
Abdulhafedh H. Abdulhafedh, 20, of Aurora, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Police say Abdulhafedh and the other man were sitting in the stolen car while it was parked outside a business in the 1900 block of Brookdale Road when officers did a "routine registration check" on the car and learned it had recently been stolen. Abdulhafedh was taken into custody shortly after and the second man fled the scene.
