Cops Issue 88 Tickets During St. Patrick's Day Traffic Crackdown In Naperville

The safety campaign ran March 13 through March 23 with increased patrols throughout the city.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police issued 88 tickets during a recent traffic safety campaign that coincided with St. Patrick's Day.

The following tickets were issued during the safety initiative, which ran March 13 through March 23.

  • 43 tickets for seatbelt violations
  • 19 speeding tickets
  • 12 distracted driving tickets
  • 14 citations for miscellaneous violations

In a statement share on Facebook, the Naperville Police Department wrote, "These totals represent the work of officers participating in additional dedicated enforcement details funded as part of the campaign and don't include any enforcement action taken by our beat officers or other units on patrol."
