Demolition Of Naperville's Water Tower West To Impact Parking
The demolition of Water Tower West and construction of new parking spots starts July 8.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The demolition of Naperville's Water Tower West aims to create more parking in the city, but will initially limit parking spaces for commuters. According to city officials, nearly 100 daily fee parking spaces will be closed starting Monday, July 8.
The demolition comes to make way for a new commuter lot that will have more than 250 daily fee parking spaces.
The demolition will directly affect 96 parking spaces west and south of the former Water Tower West public works building. Commuters will still be able to use spaces 398 through 416 on the building's east side and street parking will also remain accessible, officials said in a press release.

- Burlington Commuter Lot, which will offer $2 daily fee parking spaces after 9 a.m.; Permit spaces are also available
- Route 59 Metra Station, which offers $2 daily fee parking spaces; Permit spaces are also available
Naperville officials anticipate that the demolition of Water Tower West and subsequent design of a new commuter lot will last until the end of October.
