The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
District has lost a multitude of jobs in last few years, both manufacturing and service, to foreign countries due to policies that favored special interests. My priority will be to work on legislation to stimulate job growth opportunities, proposing trade and stem education in my district while building more manufacturing units and slowing down offshore dependency of skilled labor. Along with this I will be working on reducing federal regulations and taxes to that stifle small businesses.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
The Democrats in Congress, Rep Foster included, have been so focused on impeachment and policies moving our country toward socialism, that it has hurt our way of life. I came to America over twenty years ago, with just a few hundred dollars in my pocket. I was able to achieve so much because of education, free enterprise, and hard work. Now I want to make the American Dream real...for all of us. I am running for Congress because I love our country. I will promote and defend her against the threats from socialism, career politicians, and out of control taxes and spending.
Rep Foster is a career politician who has been there since 2008 and opposes term limits and has little record of community service. I have never held elected office; have a long record of community service and I also support term limits of no more than 8 years for Congressmen. Unlike Rep Foster, I have been connected to grass roots and understand the common person and business issues.
While my opponent is a scientist, I am an entrepreneur/technologist with hands on experience building businesses ground up and have provided employment to hundreds of people.
I will continue to work with and for the citizens of my district and be available to them all the time. I will commit to host monthly meetings within district to understand and keep on improving on any issues.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform
People are my focus. My vision is to provide the most excellent and responsive service possible for the people of my district. I envision stimulating job growth opportunities, proposing trade and stem education in my district. We need a workforce in the district prepared for those jobs and an environment that encourages business to stay in the district. I envision an office supportive of local and state lawmakers looking for federal solutions to bring about a positive impact on our shared constituents. I envision an office where the safety of my constituents is supported by firm foreign policy, tax dollars are used judiciously by sound fiscal policy and the rights granted under the Constitution are protected. My top priorities for serving my district and our country will be:
Bring back manufacturing and service jobs
Promote specialized education, incentives for STEM & Trades
Streamline legal immigration – Strengthen borders to keep illegals, drugs & terrorists out
Firm Foreign Policy - America First
Preserve and Protect Social Security and Medicare
Prosecute corruption in politics, impose term limits on all elected officials
Less government, lower taxes, fewer regulations - more freedom
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I am an entrepreneur, small business owner, employer, leader and a community servant. I was able to start a national IT business and employ hundreds of people, and help small, medium-sized, and even Fortune 500 companies be more efficient and prosperous. As a Member of the Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission I review and vote on dozens of issues that affect citizens and businesses in my community. I believe in working for people and taking a stand if necessary for their interest. On December 19, for example, I casted the lone "no" vote to acknowledge neighbor concerns about density and local elected officials concerns about safety and traffic. My initiative "Indian Community Outreach" has built awareness in the recent immigrant community to volunteer for civic and community causes. Under this organization, amongst many other programs, I have been instrumental organizing the "India Day Parade & Celebration" since 2015, which brought out over 30,000 people each year providing valuable cultural exchanges and great economic impacts to Naperville and the region. As a Board member of Illinois Chamber and President of US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce for Midwest, I have been instrumental on working for advocacy for small businesses. My volunteer work with the School District 204 Foundation Board and Kids Matter Advisory Board has been targeted towards working for children and education.
If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?
Why should voters trust you?
I came to America over twenty years ago, with just a few hundred dollars in my pocket. I was able to achieve so much because of education, free enterprise, and hard work. I am running for Congress because I love our country. I will promote and defend her against the threats from socialism, career politicians, and out of control taxes and spending. I believe in this great nation, its values and its constitution in the entirety. This great nation has given me a lot, made my dream real. Now I want to work to keep this American dream real...for all of us.
What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the use of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?
Fiscal discipline is very important to me - I grew up with a clear understanding, spend only what you have while saving for rough times. Governments are no different it is even more important when dealing with public money – our money. Deficit needs to be reduced. Reducing the deficit by across the board spending cuts of 5 percent would be a start. Eliminating units of government and consolidating their functions into other departments and to the states would save huge amounts of dollars. Other avenues to explore will be forensic audit of Medicare spending, re-evaluation of foreign aid, demanding fair share from countries we protect, negotiating favorable trade deals and enacting legislations to build a favorable climate to manufacturing, trade and commerce in the country. I do believe in further tax cuts to both business and personal rates to generate more investment in growing businesses and more income for families to spend, resulting in overall more revenue.
Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?
None
The best advice ever shared with me was …
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have always believed in dealing with the issues and problem heads on and resolving them by taking a lead. The biggest reason I am running to be a representative is because I believe our elected leaders have made their position as a career and instead of solving problems, they are busy with special interests.
If fortunate to be elected, I would be providing first class constituent service to the 11th District, include frequent Town Halls. I will fight against corruption, enhance safety and security for citizens, put America First, and self impose maximum term limit of 3 terms.
In this time of national division and international tensions, a person with my diverse, professional, leadership-oriented background will get things done, and carry gravitas, that a bitterly partisan long-term politician like Rep. Foster does not.
