District 203 Lands In Top 10 School Districts In IL: Rankings

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville Community Unit School District 203 recently landed on Niche's 2024 roundup of the Top 10 School Districts in Illinois.

District 203 was ranked 10th in Illinois and 32nd in the United States in the report.

The district was among 15 Illinois school districts to rank in the Top 100 in the United States. Niche’s rankings include 12,192 school districts nationwide, including 364 newly ranked school districts.

Niche gave District 203 an overall letter grade of A-plus. Grades in specific categories were as follows:

• Teachers: A-plus
• College Prep: A-plus
• Clubs and Activities: A-plus
• Administration: A
• Sports: A-plus

Niche also ranked 94,058 public schools and 30,809 private schools. The platform said its rankings were created to provide families with valuable information — both quantitative and qualitative — on schools in their area or in a neighborhood they’re not familiar with yet.
Earlier this week, Niche released its list of top public high schools with Payton College Prep in Chicago, leading the way for Illinois schools and finishing ranked as the fourth best in the country.

The rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that they also include input from students, alumni, and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources, and facilities.
