Dozens Of Events Planned For National Night Out In Naperville

There are 45 events planned in neighborhoods throughout Naperville. See what to look forward to for the 2023 National Night Out.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Get ready for Naperville's 2023 National Night Out! This year, there are over 45 events planned in neighborhoods throughout the city July 31 and Aug. 1 to help bring community members and local police together.

On July 31, Fry Family YMCA will host a National Night Out Kickoff Event complete with a bounce house, food trucks and a magician. Visitors will have a chance to see police cars and chat with officers. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and the night comes to a close with a free sunset showing of "Monsters Inc."

Aug. 1 brings dozens of events throughout Naperville, in observance of the nationwide National Night Out initiative. Neighborhoods are set to host ice cream socials, barbecues, parades and other fun activities.

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., police officers, firefighters, utility workers and other city staff will pop into the local events to show off their squad cars and trucks and enjoy the festivities with residents.
