Driver, 77, Seriously Hurt In Crash In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — A 77-year-old Naperville man sustained serious injuries when the car he was driving crashed into another car near Chicago Avenue and Olesen Drive Monday morning.

First responders were called to the intersection just before 9 a.m. for a report of a crash. Police say the 77-year-old was driving a black Audi north on Olesen Drive and then went through the red light at Chicago Avenue. The Audi hit a Cadillac that was being driven westbound by a 74-year-old man from Naperville.

The Audi driver was taken to a nearby hospital; an update on his condition was not available as of Monday at 5 p.m.

The crash investigation closed the intersection until around 11 a.m. Anyone who has information or witnessed the crash is encouraged to call the Naperville Police Department's traffic division at 630-420-8833.
