Driver Allegedly Hits Fence, Drives Into Oncoming Traffic, Causes 3-Vehicle Crash
Despite the traffic violations, the man was reportedly not charged with driving under the influence.

Despite allegedly hitting a fence, driving across multiple lanes of traffic, including those with oncoming traffic, and causing a three-car crash, a 35-year-old Oswego man was not charged with driving under the influence.
It’s unknown what caused Daniel J. Myers, of the 100 block of North Adams Street in Oswego, to allegedly commit so many traffic violations, but when he was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, a “police officer noted Myers appeared to be suffering from ‘confusion, slurred speech, glassy eyes (and) memory loss,’” according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.
Myers has been charged with two counts of reckless driving, two counts of driving too fast for conditions/failure to reduce an accident, disobeying a traffic control signal and two counts of improper lane usage, according to online court records. It's unknown if a DUI charge is pending.
