DUI Arrests In Naperville Among Highest In Illinois: Study
See which suburb came in at #1.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists released its 28th annual statewide survey of drunk driving arrests Wednesday. Naperville came in at #9 for DUI arrests in Illinois. A total of 567 departments were surveyed across the state for the 2017 DUI Arrest Survey, which is funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The annual survey of municipal police and sheriff's departments aims to give recognition to the most productive officers and agencies in the fight against driving under the influence.
There were 168 sworn police officers in Naperville at the time of the survey. Collectively, they made 271 DUI arrests. That's a rate of just over 1.6 DUI arrests per officer annually.

"AAIM has great respect for all these officers and departments for their aggressive DUI enforcement. We are grateful for their willingness to put forth the extra effort in removing drunk drivers from our roads," Kreslin said.
