DuPage Children's Museum Raises Over $500,000 At Benefit Ball
The money will be used to help fund the museum's AWEsome Energy exhibit.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Hundreds of philanthropists came together to support the DuPage Children's Museum Benefit Ball Saturday. At the event, the Dover Foundation donated $500,000 to fund the museum's AWEsome Energy exhibit, which uses interactive tools show kids how natural resources like water and air can create energy.
The museum honored Bob Livingston, CEO of the Dover Foundation, as its Great Friend to Kids. The annual award is given to someone who "helps us do what we do best around STEM education, making these experiences accessible to all children,” museum Board Chairman Mark Trembacki said.
When Livingston accepted the award, he said, "I am very proud of the support we’ve been able to provide, and I firmly believe that this support is making a difference for DuPage Children’s Museum and ultimately all the children who visit DCM," according to a news release.

The ball, which was hosted by ABC 7 anchor Judy Hsu, was attended by Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico and included an auction and musical performances. Trembacki also recognized the efforts of the museum's many volunteers, one of whom has put in more than 10,000 hours, he said.
