Edward-Elmhurst Health wins AVIAward for Digital Transformation
EEH was honored with the Best Overall AVIAward for Digital Transformation for its high ranking across eight core benchmarking metrics.
Edward-Elmhurst Health today announced that it has won an AVIAward for Digital Transformation. AVIA, the nation’s leading digital transformation partner for healthcare organizations, launched its inaugural awards program to evaluate health systems on core consumerism and virtual health performance metrics.
Edward-Elmhurst Health was honored with the Best Overall AVIAward for Digital Transformation for scoring the highest ranking across eight core digital benchmarking metrics. The metrics, which analyzed health systems’ performance in meeting rising consumer expectations for convenient and digitally-enabled care experiences, included percentage of:
- Appointments scheduled online by patient
- Appointments available for patient to schedule online
- Patient portal active enrollment
- Patient portal enrollment
- Synchronous virtual visits
- Virtual visits conducted by video
- Asynchronous virtual visits
- Providers that deliver synchronous virtual visits
To determine the AVIAward winners, AVIA analyzed proprietary data it collected from benchmarking surveys of participating health systems’ performance in 2021. The digital benchmarking surveys examined the adoption of and patient engagement with digital health solutions that enable healthcare consumers to conveniently and safely access care when and how they want. More than 35 health systems participated in the surveys, representing more than 23 million unique patients and 12 million patient portal users.

The AVIAward for Digital Transformation winners were announced at the annual AVIA Network Summit in Chicago on May 10.
