NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville's Edward Hospital is currently treating more coronavirus inpatients than it did in April during the first wave of the virus.

As of Tuesday, the Edward Hospital was treating 82 patients with coronavirus, according to hospital spokesperson Keith Hartenberger. In April, the highest number of coronavirus patients at Edward Hospital was 60.

Hartenberger added that there were three coronavirus-related deaths at the hospital in the last 24 hours. In total, Edward Hospital has seen 60 coronavirus deaths.

Since March 24, 819 coronavirus patients have been treated and released from Edward Hospital.
