The powerful combined choirs of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and musicians and soloists from Joliet Junior College are performing their May 4 benefit concert comes just in time, pointed out Diane Nilan, HEAR US founder/president. “Homelessness among families and youth continues at its record-breaking pace, intensified by the Sequester,” she remarked. “But the issue gets drowned out by more ‘exciting’ issues.” And funding to support her work—giving voice and visibility to homeless children and youth—is increasingly harder to find.
Free-will donations, suggested $10 adults, $5 seniors/students.
