Eversight Recognizes Naperville Noon Lions Club

Eversight has recognized the Naperville Noon Lions Club with its "Shared Vision Award" for 2020. Eversight, which is based in Chicago, is a nationwide non-profit organization whose mission is to restore sight and prevent blindness through the healing power of corneal tissue donations, transplantation and research.

The Club was nominated for this award by Diane Hollingsworth, Eversight Executive Vice President and Naperville Noon Lions Club member.

The Eversight "Shared Vision Award" was created in 2009 and is presented annually to recognize organizations who have shown extraordinary support to the Eversight mission and share the Eversight's vision to restore sight through corneal transplantation, research and education. Recipients of this distinguished award are nominated based on their achievements in raising funds in support of eye and vision research and engaging in multiple community education programs to raise awareness about the gift of sight.

"We are honored to accept this award and join this elite group of Shared Vision Award recipients" said Lions Club President Donna Kearney. Since the Club was organized in 1948, the Naperville Lions have provided millions of dollars for vision research and education initiatives along with providing eye examinations and eye glasses to local Naperville children and adults who cannot afford this type of service, Kearney added.

The award will be presented at Eversight's "Golf for Good" award ceremony via zoom on September 8, 2020.
