The Whole Foods in Wheaton is planning to move from its current location to a new, larger spot at Wheaton’s Danada Square East shopping center in the coming months and the addition of the popular grocery store is helping to attract other new businesses to the strip mall, the Daily Herald reports.

Those businesses include a Starbuck’s, Charter Fitness and Sierra Trading Post and a chain restaurant from the Southeast, which city officials have not yet revealed the name of, according to the article.

The Whole Foods in Wheaton currently occupies a 39,000-square-foot space at 151 Rice Lake Square and will be relocating to the new 55,000-square-foot location at the intersection of Naperville and Butterfield roads at 91 Danada Square East, according to a Whole Foods press release.

The new location at Danada Square East was formerly occupied by a Dominick’s, which closed in 2013, according to the Chicago Tribune.

“We opened our Wheaton store in 1997, nearly 20 years ago, and we’ve been proud to serve the Wheaton community for so many years,” says Michael Bashaw, Midwest Regional President for Whole Foods Market, said in a November 2015 press release. “When the opportunity arose to move to a larger location, we couldn’t resist. After so many years in the smaller location, we felt it was the perfect time to expand and offer our shoppers a brighter, warmer store with more space to gather and meet. Now we’ll have an increased area to create new venues and offer additional products and services that will excite both new and long-term shoppers.”

The new Whole Foods store at Danada Square East, which is expected to open on Jan. 1, will include a juice and coffee bar, a pizza stand and more prepared food and was recently awarded a liquor license to serve drinks at a cafe at the store, according to the Daily Herald.
