Fall Festival, Food Drive Planned In Naperville
The donation drive will feature food trucks, face painting, Spiderman, and Elsa from Frozen.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, Naperville residents can give back to the community at "Thanks for Giving," a food drive and fall-themed festival to collect food for donation to Loaves and Fishes. The event, which is sponsored by Perfect Home Services, will be held at Mill Street Elementary School on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring the following food items and toiletries to help families in need:
- Whole grain and reduced sugar cereal
- Gluten-free items
- Oatmeal
- Canned vegetables with low sodium
- Canned fruits with no added sugar
- Rice, noodles
- Dried beans, condensed soup
- Spaghetti sauce
- Coffee and tea
- Detergent
- Diapers
- Cleaning products
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Toilet paper
- Toothpaste
Those who attend the free, family-friendly donation drive can enjoy free popcorn and cotton candy. The Toasty Cheese Food Truck will also be on hand to sell food items. A bounce house will be set up for kids, who can also get their faces painted or meet Elsa from Frozen and Spiderman.

According to a news release, the event last year gathered enough to help benefit more than 5,000 local families. The organizers hope to shatter that record and help even more people in need this year.
