Final Meeting Set For Improvements On Book Road, 95th Street

The meeting will cover proposed improvements to the roads that are set to begin in 2021.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville officials are getting ready to hold the final meeting about proposed improvements to Book Road and 95th Street on June 6. The meeting will share preliminary engineering designs that aim to improve the flow of traffic and reduce congestion at the intersection.

At the June 6 Transportation Advisory Board meeting, members of the public will be able to review the preferred alternative design which was chosen after public input from previous meetings. Transportation Advisory Board members will answer go over potential improvements to 95th Street and Book Road that include modifying the intersection's traffic signal and adding more through lanes and turn lanes.

The city will take public comment on the preferred alternative at the meeting. Those residents who can't make it to the meeting can submit comment by emailing dunnek@naperville.il.us.

Public comment will be accepted through June 20 at 5 p.m.

Officials will also review the progress and timeline of the project, which is currently set to begin in 2021. After the meeting, design engineering will be solidified. Members of the transportation and advisory board say the project should take one construction cycle.
