Fire officials say unattended cooking was the likely cause of the fire.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Fire officials say unattended cooking is to blame for a fire that damaged a single-family home in the 500 block of Beaconsfield Avenue Tuesday evening, according to a press release from Naperville Fire Department Bureau Chief Scott Salela.
According to Salela, the fire broke out just before 6:40 p.m. When firefighters got to the scene, they found smoke coming from the roof of the home.
The fire was extinguished after 15 minutes, Salela wrote. No firefighters or residents were injured.
