NAPERVILLE, IL — A fire broke out late Friday, displacing seven Naperville residents from their home and causing $400,000 in damage to the residence.

Fire crews were called to the 2100 block of Horncastle just before midnight for a report that smoke was filling the two-story home. When firefighters arrived, they found flames had engulfed the front of the house and were starting to spread to the neighbors' residence.

It took roughly 20 minutes to contain both fires.

The house in which the fire started was deemed unsafe for its residents, but the neighbors were able to return to their home.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
