Fire Engulfs 2 Cars, Garage, Part Of Home In Naperville
Firefighters say "extreme wind conditions" intensified the blaze, which broke out early Saturday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Six residents were displaced from a home in Naperville early Saturday after a fire ripped through two cars, a garage and part of the residence. Firefighters say "extreme wind conditions" exacerbated the blaze, which caused more than $300,000 in damages.
Fire crews got to the scene in the 300 block of Weatherford Lane to find two cars in the driveway on fire, along with "heavy fire" coming from the garage, a news release said. The fire in the garage had also spread to the home's second floor and attic.
Fire officials cited the fire's large volume as one reason it took just under 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
