Fish Fry Fridays Kick Off In Naperville

What's your favorite spot for a Friday night fish fry during Lent?

NAPERVILLE, IL -- Now that Mardi Gras has come and gone and the Christian observation of Lent has begun, another annual tradition will be popping up around the area: the Friday fish fry. Throughout Naperville, restaurants, churches, and VFW posts will hold Friday night Fish Frys starting March 8 and lasting through the remainder of Lent.

This VFW post features different menu items for a weekly fish fry that has been a local tradition for 50 years. Fish Frys run from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Friday through April 19. Adults eat for $12, seniors for $10, and children for $7, though prices are subject to change.

Saints Peter & Paul Fish Fry

36 N. Ellsworth, Naperville

Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, this weekly fish runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday.

Catch 35 Fish Fry

For $19, diners can indulge in "all-you-care-to-enjoy" servings of fried fish and other goodies. The restaurant's fish fry Fridays last from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Ash Wednesday, March 6, and on every subsequent Friday through April 19.
